The Mir family has had a successful presence in the Gulf, specifically in Dubai, as merchants and traders during the past 75 years.Nowdays, the Mir Group is constituted of a wide range of industries. These industries include plastic manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, raw material brokering, engineering molding and fabrication, general trading, importing of medical equipment, IT, real estate and finance.In 1980, a plastic division was formed to carry out the manufacturing of the Aalmir Antiseptic factory's packaging requirements, mainly consisting of HDPE bottles for bleach and shampoo. Due to the increased regional demand and need for expansion, Aalmir Plastic Industries was formally established as a separate entity in 1987.

Having won the prestigious chamber of commerce "Award for Excellence" award twice in a row, Aalmir Plastic Industries has since been considered as one of the key plastic manufacturers in the region. Today, Aalmir Plastic Industries boasts manufacturing plants in the U.A.E and Iran, and has extended its initial production facility of Blow Molding lines to Precision Injection Molding, Thermoforming and various Film & Extrusion lines. The company's activities also include fabrication of plastic items, rapid prototyping, mold making and plastic design consultation.
